Normally, it’s advisable to avoid crazy people because no matter how good your boundaries are, you can’t help but allow their crazy to become your crazy.
That’s why I avoid deep dives into conspiracy rabbit holes. They are destabilizing. In order to understand someone, you have to try their ideas on for size. Then you start wondering if, maybe, what they say might be true. Even way-out stuff. And with Owens, that’s dangerous, because some of what she says has a surface plausibility. Her shtick is to take a legit subject (frex: German civilian casualties in WW2) and turn it into a torch.
But these are not normal times, so I had to delve into her rabbit hole. The more I did, the more disturbed I got.
I actually began to wonder if, just maybe, there wasn’t something to the Brigitte Macron “transvestigation”…
Providentially, at that instant, I came upon this photograph and I said to myself, “Snap out of it.”
This is obviously a mother and a daughter. This is all a matter of record.
Mom has probably had a little “work” done—on her face. Whatever problems they have about the scandalous rupture that resulted in the mother divorcing the daughter’s father and marrying the daughter’s one-time-schoolmate seem to have been put behind them, and good for both of them. That’s not the issue here.
Here is the issue, and the upshot:
Candace Owens is insane.
She has constructed a massive scaffolding of lies about Brigitte and Emanuel Macron. Three times the Macrons gave Owens the opportunity to retract. Three times she doubled down and embellished her lies.
She dared them to sue her.
She immediately responded on YouTube with flagrant defiance: “I Am Being Sued By The President Of France.” Don’t bother clicking, you’ll get this:
But we know she put it up. It was covered in numerous news articles and if you care, you can watch this for the full crazy.
Sometimes the internet is glitchy, so to make sure it was removed, I went to her channel to search for the video, and I got a link to an edited video. I can’t explain it — if she’s doing damage control, it’s a poor job. But here it is.
Owens filed a stipulation on August 111, pushing back the date of her formal answer until September 11, which proves that she has lawyered up and negotiations behind the scenes are happening, while she doubles down publicly and continues to dig a hole. Any good lawyer would have told her to shut the fuck up.2
She will drop into it (the hole) due course, either by a summary judgement or a trial.3
She has no chance of winning. None.
The first amendment is irrelevant to this case; the 1A is about government sanction, it does not shield an individual from private liability.
That liability will be determined in court and I am saying here:
Candace Owens will lose her case, in public. She will be disgraced and banished. Most of her supporters will drift away to the next con artist.
You can stop reading. That’s the whole story. But read on if you want to follow the twisty path as to how I got here, and why this is important.
Cards on the table. When I first heard of the Macron v. Owens lawsuit, my first reaction was: “Too bad they can’t both lose.” That was wrong. This is an important case for justice, intellectual integrity, and to clean up the toxic waste dump that the infotainment complex has become.
I knew the basic parameters of “The Candace Owens Story,” but until a few days ago, I’d done my best to ignore her, precisely because her silo was so filthy. Nor was my interest aroused by this lawsuit per se. Again, for me it was:
Wait, it was a little more than measured detachment. It was this. Quite apart from the weirdness of their marriage, which is a mite unsettling even if it is none of my business, Brigitte and Emanuel are part of a clique of very rich and very powerful people. He’s a Big Boy playing in the world of Big Power and she’s his lacquered, polished enabler. I’m just not in the habit of caring much about such people, even if they are being tormented by a serial defamer and machine-powered nutcase like Candace Owens.
And that’s wrong. Even rich, powerful, amoral people like Brigitte and Emanuel Macron can be defamed, and it’s important to punish the defamer.
I apologize for not seeing how important this case is.
We have these laws not to protect them, but to protect us.
If Candace Owens could get away with defaming them, what could she do to you?
The fact that she wouldn’t bother with unimportant little you, because attacking unimportant little you wouldn’t yield clicks, views, and merch sales, is irrelevant to the core issue, which is: enabling her to get away with these lies gives her POWER. Unearned, absolute, power.
But what broke the spell of my amused detachment?
This: A Little Black Girl from Tennessee Takes on the Luciferian Pedo-Scum of Europe in the Substack called Welcome To Absurdistan. I had reservations about that ‘Stack. There were red flags. Normally, anyone throwing around the word Illuminati—unless we’re talking 19th-century Bavaria—loses me. Still, I kept reading; a lifelong tendency to inhale information, trusting my bullshit detector to separate wheat from chaff, is hard to break.
Then I saw the name “Candace Owens” and literally gasped.
Candace Owens, a little black girl from Europe? That’s not the Candace Owens I know, and I don’t even know her that well. The Candace Owens I know is a long-time media whore from Stamford, CT who started out as a left-wing doxxer, switched to the right expediently, and has climbed to the top of the greasy pole by serially sucking up to and then discarding powerful men.
She’s worth at least $5 million herself and is married to a man worth much more than that, although how much is hard to say. The whole picture of Owens as this little truth teller broadcasting from her basement up against THE GLOBALIST MACRONS is bullshit.
But overall, I was truly taken aback by Nickson’s absolute disregard for Owens’s antisemitism. This is a word I use rarely and with great caution because, to my deep chagrin, it’s been overused and drained of meaning but here’s a link with her top “hits.”
Here’s the most important thing about Owens. I watched as many of her videos as I could stand, and last night I came the conclusion that she’s insane.
As in delusional, has experienced a total break from reality.
Let me say that again, in case I haven’t been clear:
Candace Owens is insane.
If you do not believe me, watch these two TikTok videos. I can’t embed them here so you’ll have to click on the links to see them. (Be forewarned: the comments are dispiriting. These videos get hundreds of thousands of views.)
In the first video, she recycles a 2008 item that went viral. It simply must be seen to be believed. When I first saw it on an unauthorized Telegram channel, I thought it was AI. It’s impossible—she could not possibly have said this. Then I sourced it to her own TikTok channel. I really want to see Thomas Clare question Candace on this. “Ms. Owens, how does the case of Latarian Milton prove your contention that Brigitte Macron is a man?” “What does, ‘we’re doing bad things in the basement like a ‘hood rat’ mean?”
Then there’s this, addressed to Megyn Kelly. This one is actually scary. The rage with which she spits out the word “friends” and “allies” at 01:51, baring her teeth, imitating an imaginary Zionist thug intimidating Kelly is disturbing. This is no act.
This is the real Candace Owens.
She might be performing—but even if she is, it’s a performance of disintegration that shows complete identification with the process.
The pacing, the facial expressions, the pressured speech, the sudden shifts from sobbing to defiant grandeur… If this is performance, it’s the performance of a genuine madwoman who has become her part. Remember: she writes this. It comes from her diseased mind. She’s not an actress reading lines supplied by a writer, under direction.
I’m pretty good at detecting bullshit. Even the greatest actor always gives away some artifice – except the late Philip Seymour Hoffman. Not Candace. She believes this – she is this.
Sorry to repeat, I promise, this will be the last time: if this isn’t insane, what is?
I read the word “terrifying” a lot when the word should be “concerning” or “worrying.” but Candace Owens is terrifying, because of her vast reach and appeal. The reasons for this are deep. I just don’t have the energy to deal with the subject now. I’m going to acknowledge it and note that a clinically insane woman (oops I said it again) is at its core—and to point out something really embarrassing:
Jews facilitated her rise.
Not “the Jews,” which doesn’t exist.
But individual Jews, two in particular: Dennis Prager, and Ben Shapiro.
After job-jumping for a few years in the lower fringes of NYC show biz, she found a foothold on the “respectable” dissident right. She was promoted, hired, and cultivated by Dennis Prager and Ben Shapiro. She worked at “PragerU” from 2019 to 2021 and was employed at Daily Wire from 2021 to 2023. Without the latter, which occupies a prestigious position in the conservative media ecosystem, who knows where she’d be now?
Parallel to all of this was an alliance with Kanye West (”Ye”) , public since 2018 and deepened through shared provocations. “Ye” had a long history of instability in general. He was not exactly a model of conservative probity. Yet Prager and Shapiro said nothing about this.
Then came October 2022, when Kanye West’s antisemitic spiral began.
On her Daily Wire show shortly after the “deathcon 3 on Jewish people” tweet, Owens argued that “no honest person” would interpret West’s statement as antisemitic. She claimed he likely meant “DEFCON 3,” a military readiness term, and suggested he was expressing a defensive posture rather than a threat. Owens insisted that West’s words were being taken out of context and that critics were reacting in bad faith. She framed the backlash as ideological policing rather than a legitimate response to hate speech.
Owens continued to amplify conspiratorial tropes throughout 2023. Her defense of West extended beyond the initial tweet, encompassing broader claims about media control and cultural persecution. Yet Shapiro chose not to confront her publicly. In November 2023, over a year later, Shapiro criticized her at a private event and only surfaced via attendee footage. The Daily Wire continued to promote her content, including her documentary The Greatest Lie Ever Sold. 4 Owens remained on the Daily Wire roster, continued producing content, and wasn’t formally cut loose until March 2024.
Not until after the October 7, 2023 Hamas attacks, when Owens criticized Israel’s military response by invoking outright antisemitic tropes that Shapiro finally broke ranks.
Prager’s trajectory requires scrutiny. He defended Owens in November 2022, framing her loyalty to West as a forgivable mistake.
Now, let's turn to the matter of Candace Owens. For the few who do not know who she is, Candace is a brilliant and charismatic black woman with a very large following. The Left hates her because she is a black conservative and, even worse, a supporter of former President Donald Trump. In the eyes of the Left, including the current president of the United States, Trump supporters (often referred to as "MAGA people") are either out-and-out fascists or "semi-fascists."
He eventually published a nauseating, ass-kissing “open letter” in September 2024, at which point Owens was an out-of-the-closet conspiracist. Even then, the letter was framed as a gesture of friendship and disappointment—not a severance. Owens responded cordially, promised a reply, and never followed through. Prager published the letter only after waiting weeks, and she did not object. This wasn’t a clean break—it was a cover-my ass PR document to disengage from someone they had platformed and defended for years.5
So yes, Owens was cultivated and protected by individual Jewish conservatives who knew exactly who she was. Her alliance with Kanye West was public, persistent and predated October 7, 2023. And yet, for over a year after West’s antisemitic outbursts, they chose to enable her.
Guys, this was a year-plus of containment, silence, and internal strain. Owens interviewed West on October 17, 2022. The edited interview was promoted by the Daily Wire on their website. I have no idea what the legal issues of ownership are in this instance and I have no interest in finding them out, but she did put the entire interview on her site on January 25, 2025, one of the few free items on it. It’s over an hour and I don’t intend to waste an hour of my life on this slop but go to the 34 minute mark and have a listen. I cannot believe that Shapiro didn’t see the whole thing before he promoted the edited version. If he didn’t, what a slob.
And yet, Shapiro and Prager said nothing. That’s not a clean break. That’s a slow, reluctant disentanglement.
Ben Shapiro and Dennis Prager will have to do a fuck-ton more tshuva to remove the Owens stench.
I was going to write about Tucker Carlson, who has moved into frank WW2 revisionism, and one other person, who will for now go unnamed6, but I’ve had it.
Even shallow diving into this pool is personally disturbing. I don’t like thinking about these people. But they are here, and they have influence. Candace Owens has sixty million views a month on YouTube. 7 Tucker Carlson has 16.5 million followers on X. Their power lies in their ability to repeat misinformation tirelessly. I salute the people who show up daily to fight them on a daily basis. I just don’t have that stamina.
At the end of the day, I do not get it on a rational level.
Candace had a great grift going.
She had a massive, growing, audience.
She was raking in millions of dollars.
She had people on the left like the Young Turks saying stuff like, “I disagree with everything else she says but on Gaza, I take my hat off.”
She was very clever at skewering Boomer pieties, and occasionally she took a contrarian stance that made her sound sane and rational. I’ll give an example later, if I can work up the bandwidth, but not now.
Owens could have made tons of money off these insane rumors, while putting daylight between her and them. Could have done a whole series salaciously recounting every “fact” while studiously claiming that she didn’t believe a word of it, but gosh, look at that groomer and her boy toy…
Why did she do this?
Money and clicks, you’ll say. Of course, she wouldn’t be doing this if she weren’t getting them from this. But I think there’s more to it than that.
One, she’s in very deep with Kanye West and Andrew Tate. Her husband’s friendship with the alleged pimp and pornographer Andrew Tate predates his internet infamy. West and Tate are buddies. This is far deeper than her close but transactional relationship with Tucker Carlson. She’s married to one, and sisters with the others.
Two, there’s something about Brigitte that really gets under her skin, and I’ll leave that to your imagination, but here are some clues.
Owens’ has adopted this scaffolding of lies — “Becoming Brigitte” — as an alternate persona.
I think it’s because Brigitte Trogneux Auzière Macron did successfully transform herself, not from a man to a woman, but from a mousy little schoolteacher into the glamorous paramour of a world leader.
This enrages Owens. She perceives it as a threat. So she must destroy it.
Haha, joke’s on her. For the first time in her life, she will be forced to submit to authority. Won’t be able to batter anyone into submission with her rat-a-tat-tat speech pattern. She’ll have to shut up and listen. That’s like water to the Wicked Witch of the West.
And…
Wouldn’t it be ironic if a 72-year old woman, yes, a real woman, had more courage and manhood than Ben Shapiro and Dennis Prager combined?

Defamation can be a continuing tort, so new statements made after July 23, 2025 may be added to the lawsuit if Clare asks the court to include them. I will bet my silver-filled molars that he will. But I also think there’s a good case that a district court judge will issue a summary judgement against her. On what grounds?
That the courts aren’t in the business of wasting time on bullshit based on what a clairvoyant says. Summary judgment is designed precisely for this: when there’s no genuine dispute of material fact and the claims are unsound they collapse under basic scrutiny. If the defendant’s entire defense hinges on vibes, prophecy, or intuition, the judge doesn’t need a jury to confirm it’s nonsense, they can—and do—shut it down cold.
BTW, this shuts down the “but she won a judgement in France” line. The recent appeal win, which may be overturned by a higher court, happened because the judges ruled that Amandine Rey and Natacha Roy were too delusional to know better and their story was only “opinion.” Owens is staunchly claiming she is offering facts.
And that’s another thing. In a defamation case the burden is on the plaintiff to prove that the defendant is lying. But if the defendant is claiming “truth is my defense” then she must provide the truth. Not vibes, not opinions, not “I believe it.” The truth. Owens is about to be flayed alive.
The content of the documentary is irrelevant. My sole point is that whatever attention it got was because of Owens’s association with DW. For the record I’m no admirer of the late George Floyd, and although I don’t think Derek Chauvin should win “Cop of the Year” awards I was enraged at deliberate stoking of rioting on the part of the media.
On July 3, 2024, she released Episode 18 of her show titled The SHOCKING Satanic Origins of NASA. The “transvestigation” began in March 2024, and by summer of that year she was raising “questions.” Prager had to know all of this, yet was sending her olive branches. He has not formally issued a denunciation of her lunacy.
I’ll name him/her when my energy returns.
Earnings are harder to estimate, it seems, they range from a not shabby low of $161K per year to a considerable $2.6M. She seems to have gained many subscribers since l’affaire Macron.
