I’m still too raw to write anything useful about my feelings about October 7 and Israel’s response—although I don’t mind saying that I have my doubts about this Gaza response—what’s the end game? What good will it have done if in the ashes of Hamas 1.0 we get Hamas 2.0?
Anyway…
The referred to incident happened in Canada but it’s no different in NYC. Pro-Hamas demonstrators are afforded police protection and allowed the run of the house.
We law-abiding citizens are expected to put up with it, in the tradition of the Floyd rioters, who were compensated for destroying property and forcing us chumps to stay at home under curfew for three days.
By the way, isn’t this:
a bit more violent than “punch those mfers”? To be clear, I want him to be allowed to say these things on Twitter — great place to keep tabs on him, but the standard is obvious. Make a mild joke about punching demonstrators and you get banned. Advocating annihilation of Israel and you get a pass. Bill yourself as a bigtime First Amendment lawyer and you also get a pass.
The pro-Palestine carolers were at it Saturday night at the Lincoln Center. I had to be ushered in a side door to enjoy Brahms. They should have treated that lame crowd to some classical music, maybe they could find some meaning in life and stop being ignoramus, ineffectual busybodies. Or they might take a moment to realize they agree with Wagner’s antisemitism, even if they can’t appreciate the depth of his music. Classical music is for everyone, see?
When Hamas 1.0 is gone, we'll fight Hamas 2.0 3.0 and so on
There are no good outcomes no matter what Israel - the only country on earth that's not allowed to defend itself - does.
There are also no "moderate" "Palestinians" (both words in quotes). So fuck them all
I am on Twitter but do more reading than posting - except in the last couple of days when the posting bug wouldn't let me rest
