Sending love from the faded empire here in the UK. Israel is doing the world’s dirty work as usual, and being condemned for it by those who can’t see what’s at stake. The isolationist right is just as shortsighted and demented in its own way as the Islamo-left.

A shame about Matt Walsh though. He did the world a service with those documentaries, but I guess we shouldn’t expect too much from him.

I'm British. We are done. Over. Irrelevant. Putting us in charge of the Gulf!!! LOL! Same as giving your frail, demented, grandpa, fire lighters, petrol and leaving him to man the barbecue by himself. He would eat the charcoal and set fire to his pyjammies. Think Joe Biden with a British accent saying, "Cor Blimy Govnor - ain't it hot!" Or Stevie Wonder with a flamethrower? The Republican USA is the only hope for the West. Britons no longer rule the waves or even their own country. We should have applied to be the 51st state and taken Canada with us rather than joining the EEC/EU. But TBH you need us like you need a strangulating haemorrhoid. Islamic immigration is out of control here and is causing more problems than a few dodgy South Americans. At least they tend to be Christians. As for wokery that is America's fault because you invented it, exported it and corrupted us with your absurd, nonsensical, delusional BS! And that, your Honour, is my humble and considered opinion...

Britain still has a part to play in the defense of the Gulf/Straits.

"UK Maritime Component Command (UKMCC). This command oversees British naval operations in the region and is based at the UK Naval Support Facility in Bahrain."

But yeah it's only 700 guys v. 20,000 for the US 5th Fleet.

Still.

Thank you for your service.

Thank you, Diana. You are most gracious. Burning down the White House, twice, does seem a bit like child abuse now. How the victim responds when the previously abusive frail parent is no longer a threat is a complicated dilemma for the heirs to Western civilisation... however, having conceded that, I must say that the Americanisation of British culture and politics feels like elder abuse but maybe that's just karma and that's what we deserve.

Legend. That was proper Americana before woke spoilt everything. I enjoyed reading how the Elvis band visited while he was in hospital after he broke his neck: "Hey man, Elvis sends his love", and lit a cigarette for him, even though the patient in the next bed was in an oxygen tent. That was America before all the sissys started flapping their guns!

Well said. I have no idea why people like this blow up their credibility for such an intellectually juvenile point, i.e. the U.S. shouldn’t get involved in anything. He’s over his handlebars on this one.

People who say we "should get out of the Middle East" are just idiots. They've forfeited the right to be listened to.

This isn’t the first time that a war that directly affects American interests has been framed as a “Jewish war” by a bunch of bad actors (virulent antisemites, Nazi sympathizers and Communist fellow travelers) who refer to themselves as “isolationist” in order to keep America out. We heard the same BS in the run up to World War II. How many people died because our leaders and fellow American citizens listened to these malefactors?

True.

That said in this case I have to admit that I fell into the trap of thinking this was "All About Israel" - obviously, not from an antisemitic POV just because I thought it was.

I'm writing something about that. Wait for it.

Chapeau Diana, I think that’s spot on. As for the UK we couldn’t find our own rear hole with a flash light at this point even if our lives depended on it. Heck, we can’t even secure our own borders with this influx of daily dinghies and meanwhile the remaining British army still gets skilled in DEI rather than drone warfare. People will do anything to prove their absurd theories though, exposing absurd levels of ignorance when it comes to history, religion, cultures etc. Most suffer from mirror image bias - the peace-loving oat-milk latte sipping Hippie that I am will be reflected to me by the Mullah in a garn if I just OM-along long enough… 😱🤪

Yes. It is troubling to see many who are correct and effective on many topics become incorrect and ineffective irt Iran. Iran has been waging war against the US for nearly 50 years. Thousands of Americans have been maimed or killed by Iran and its proxies. Iran poses a direct threat to the US and its allies.
