I agree about the Hispanics, but think you also need to focus on the Asian population particularly in Queens which is sizable and conservative. They don’t like this radical bullshit either.
Your comments about the Jews seem to be focused primarily on those feckless old liberals and young progressives who missed the wake-up call of 10/7 or else heard it and are now cowering in their condos and co-ops. I know these folks because many of them are my cousins are more fixated on abortion rights than on the masses of their former leftist allies calling for their scalps. But I think you ignore the sizable Orthodox Jewish population in Brooklyn that is massive, militant and not moving anywhere, mirroring the attitude of their Irish and Italian neighbors in Kings County, as well as those across the bridge in Staten Island. Hopefully, Cuomo (who I personally despise) can win by cobbling together the same coalition that brought Giuliani (another man I’ve met and personally dislike) to power and gave NYC the best years during my lifetime.
I was referring to New Yorkers--people who inherit and re-create the actual culture of NYC. Orthodox Jews are Orthodox Jews who happen to be in NYC. They interact from behind a massive cultural barrier and do not interact with others willingly. There are exceptions, but mostly this is so. I will occasionally see Orthodox Jews at cultural/sports events, but not often. In the old days, you did; but those days are over--now the "Orthodoxim" are islands.
The Irish/Italians of NYC (and your cousins) are New Yorkers. They stand up for NYC because it's their "country."
Here's where the Irish/Italians differ from your cousins, with whom they share many neighborhoods ("matza-pizza neighborhoods, I grew up in one) - Ashkenazi Jews just cannot ally with any form of nativism. Any form of nativism gives them hives. This is a subtle but massive cultural difference and explains a lot of their paralysis in the face of aggression.

About Asians, yes, I left them out.
The East Asians (Chinese/Koreans) tend to be very quiet politically.
South Asians are a story.
Of the Hindus, the men tend to be moderate to conservative, the women loony left.
The Muslims are Muslims - all radicalized, in that AOC/DSA way. Mamdani is one such.
The best Xer on NYC affairs is Reza Chowdury.

I probably didn't make this clear enough.
I did not ignore the Orthodox, I excluded them.

Thank you. Educational for me as a Brit. What goes on in your manor generates a tsunami that traverses the Atlantic into my manor.
You're quite welcome.
But don't stop at my Substack! Read Colin Woodard. This book and the one he wrote prior called Union will teach you so much about American history.
