Her image: "Look how stunning and brave I am criticizing Evangelicals and Mormons."
On anything of substance, she's a coward.
Frex, about the trans issue.
In a 2010 documentary, she called a drag queen Andy Warhol superstar "a man who wanted to be a female movie star" and argued that a person transitioning later in life "is not a woman at all" because they were never a little girl. That's exactly what Matt Walsh pointed out in What Is A Woman. You could actually get away with saying that in 2010.
But as the wind changed directions, she pivoted to the John Oliver line.
By 2010, this affects "no one except the people involved" and "why do you care so much?"
(Answer: because I don't want my daughter to suffer brain damage in a volleyball game.) and the classic deflection, "Why are we talking so much about this and not about more important things?"
In other words, the usual leftist dodge: "It isn't happening, oh it happened and you're screwed."
Lebowitz might be worth something, annoying as she is, if she actually was brave, but she isn't.
She always knows which side of the bread is buttered and kisses the ring while pretending she's spitting on it.
thank you that's a lovely way of describing creativity
Good piece. Nice, too, to see Leibowitz taken down a peg.
